South African-born Claudia Dehnke is a recent graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, where she obtained an MA with distinction, studying with Tomotada Soh and Nicole Wilson, having previously studied with Jan Repko, Oliver Wille and Stephan Picard. She has received masterclasses from Gyorgy Pauk, Phillipe Graffin, Jana Kuss, Tamsin Waley-Cohen, amongst others.
Claudia has performed as a soloist in with the Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra and Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra. She was the recipient of the Leverhulme Trust Scholarship and Abe Bailey Scholarships, and is a Harrison Frank Family Foundation Artist.
Claudia has also guest-led a number of ensembles, including the Invicta Ensemble, Bloomsbury Chamber Orchestra and London Contemporary Music Festival Orchestra. Claudia is also currently a member of the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group NEXT ensemble. She has also recorded a number London premieres of new works London for BBC Radio 3.
